Crucial World Series Win for Thomas and Sacramento in Game Three
The Sacramento Solons got a crucial win in Game Three of the World Series today, downing the visiting New York Giants at Moreing Park by a score of 3-2. Solons right-hander Fay Thomas was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 9 innings of 6-hit ball. The win reduces the Giants’ advantage to 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.

The Giants had trouble solving Thomas, who surrendered 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 9 innings.

"Fay was throwing free and easy," said Sacramento manager Kurt Peterson.

The next game is scheduled for Thursday at Polo Grounds. The scheduled starters for the game are Howard Craghead for Sacramento and Bobo Newsom for New York.
