Setback For Cardinals and Creepy Crespi Wednesday, July 16th, 1941 St. Louis got some bad news today concerning second baseman Creepy Crespi. He is recovering from back tightness. Club doctors have extended his time of return to 6 days, saying his injury has not responded well to treatment. It is worse than they first diagnosed. In the current season, Crespi has put up a .252 batting average with 89 hits, 1 home run, 45 RBI and scored 56 runs. |
